But what caught my attention was the pre-game interview with Peyton Manning, quarterback for the Broncos. The interviewer, on more than one occasion, brought up Peyton’s age – 39 – as the oldest QB to play in this event. Peyton kept brushing aside the questions of age and what affect that might have on his performance. It seemed to me that he simply did not accept that age could be a factor in his ability to play his best game.
And, now he’s the oldest quarterback in NFL history to lead his team to a Superbowl title!
