Summer is quickly approaching here in Canada. Schools will soon ring one last bell as the summer recess begins. Sounds like the perfect time for a vacation, yes?
As it turns out, though, vacation time isn’t a reality for a majority of Canadians. And evidently that’s by our own choosing, as shown by the statistics of voluntary diminishing vacation breaks and millions of unused vacation days. (Mercer Human Consulting)
Vacations can certainly be rejuvenating. In fact, some physicians recommend a vacation as a healthy way to deal with stress and work overload.
So, are those of us who don’t take any ‘down time’ doing a disservice to our health?
